ACHIEVING INNOVATION & MANUFACTURING EXCELLENCE – AIME Program
The Yves Landry Foundation, supported by the Government of Ontario, is providing a training program to make Ontario's manufacturing sector more competitive and innovative.
The AIME Program will provide up to $50,000 per project for training within Ontario manufacturing companies. Eligible training projects include:
- Developing new engineering skills
- Training in the use of new software, hardware or other tools to support innovation
- Retraining to use new technologies, new manufacturing methods, or new processes that improve competitiveness.
Funding is open to all companies that have a manufacturing facility in Ontario, between 15 and 1,500 employees, and have been in business for at least 3 yrs or can demonstrate a solid financial footing.
Program will provide funding up to a maximum of $50,000 per company, and can cover 100% of direct training costs and up to 50% of indirect costs. Process requires submission of an application proposal.

CME SMART Program
CME ceased accepting applications for SMART funding or SMART Assessments on May 15.
CME indicated that it will be in discussion with governments to determine whether there might be options to extend or re-launch the SMART program with new funding. If new funding is secured, BW&A will post a notice on our website.
